A beautiful and distinguished family.
A private island.
A brilliant, damaged girl; a passionate, political boy.
A group of four friends—the Liars—whose friendship turns destructive.
A revolution. An accident. A secret.
Lies upon lies.
We Were Liars is a modern, sophisticated suspense novel from National Book Award finalist and Printz Award honoree E. Lockhart.
What can I say about We Were Liars? It was unexpected, it was emotional, it was mysterious... much more than a simple contemporary novel. When I started reading I had no idea what it was about, because every book tuber said that it was better to get into this book knowing nothing about it, and they were right. So I'm not going to ruin this for you. I'm only going to tell you that you are going to love it. Is a little strange, but you'll get absorbed by the trama, and the characters, and the mystery. In the end, my heart was filled with all kinds of emotions. It was a book that managed to reach me deep inside.
Now... if you already read this book, tell me... What did you think about it?
